Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

    I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Redox, Inc. (United States) in Aug 2022

    Interview

    I went through the first two rounds of interviews, and they were both very straightforward!

    First round was with a peer, asking basic behavioral questions about how I manage a team. We talked about the stages of growth I and my previous company had been through and how they might compare to Redox's current phase of growth. The interview was very casual--no "gotcha" questions and no need to spend a huge amount of time preparing. It was more of a conversation than an interview, honestly.

    The second interview was with a recruiter, who was also very friendly and helpful. Explained the benefits package, the company, and the rest of the interview process in detail.

    Ultimately, I didn't finish the process due to a personal conflict, but I absolutely would have otherwise, because the interviewers both seemed like lovely people. Their interview process and questions seem more thought-out than most companies for their size and stage.
