  • It is our distinct honor to support those in our Regal family who are serving or have served our country, and who now provide their dedication and skills to Regal. Veterans Day is celebrated annually on November 11, and we are delighted to take this opportunity to express our personal gratitude to our company's veterans for their dedicated service. Regal has had the honor of employing many veterans throughout the years and has witnessed first-hand the commitment, passion and pride each of them brings to our organization. To take advantage of this opportunity to highlight our veterans, we reached out with various questions to learn more about them. In order to show support to not only our Regal family Veterans, but to Veterans across the country Regal has once again paired up with the Gary Sinise Foundation to donate $1 from every large popcorn sold to help Veterans in need. In 2018, we sold a total of 89,266 Large Popcorns, meaning Regal will be donating $89,266 to the Gary Sinise Foundation!

  • Regal Entertainment Group CEO Amy Miles has agreed to chair a major fundraising initiative to support Alzheimer's disease research at The Pat Summitt Clinic.

To provide our employees the needed knowledge and skills we have created and implemented several training programs, including:

  • Regal Excellence University – A week long in person interactive training program for theatre managers aimed at preparing them for career advancement within the company.
  • Regal Online University – A series of online courses for all team members covering key operational duties, responsibilities and processes.
  • Annual General Manager Conference – A three day conference attended by hundreds of theatre General Managers, District Managers and corporate representatives.
  • Regal Corporate University – Courses provided to corporate personnel covering topics related to management, communication, teamwork, wellness, CPR & first aid certification, etc.

Regal Foundation:  

Community Affairs

Our company established the Regal Foundation in 2003 as a non-profit charitable organization to coordinate support for numerous national and local philanthropic efforts. Since its inception, the Regal Foundation has donated in excess of $47 million dollars to local and national charitable organizations. The Regal Foundation supports the communities in which Regal operates by partnering with selected charities. Regal and The Regal Foundation are extremely proud of the successful relationships we have built with our charitable partners.

Regal Foundation Mission Statement:

The Regal Foundation is committed to improve the quality of life in the communities in which we operate by providing funds and other resources to aid the initiatives of national and local charitable entities dedicated to the assistance of persons affected by economic, social, physical or educational disadvantage.

Community Involvement:

Lending a helping hand has long been a part of the showmanship spirit at Regal.

Regal theatres across the country proudly provide fully accessible theatres which include personal captioning and descriptive audio technologies for our guests that are deaf, hard of hearing or blind. We also offer special showings and other accommodations for those that have special or modified sensory needs. 

Each summer moviegoers of all ages can climb aboard the Regal Summer Movie Express and enjoy a great selection of children films. During this 9-week festival, designated Regal Cinemas, United Artists and Edwards Theatres offer selected G or PG rated movies for only a dollar; with proceeds benefiting the Will Rogers Institutes medical research and health education efforts.

Regal also hosts an annual fundraiser called "Stars of Hope" where guests are invited to donate to help the many charitable partners of the Regal Foundation which supports the communities where our guests and employees live.

Showmanship Award:

Regal has a long tradition of giving back to the communities in which we live and work. To support and encourage the giving spirit amongst our team members, we created our Community Showmanship program.

The program is intended to honor Regal employees who generously donate their time and talent to eligible non-profit organizations within their communities. When a Regal employee volunteers their time for a qualifying charitable organization, Regal provides a monetary grant to the organization on behalf of the contributing employee and the Regal Foundation. Regal is very proud of our personnel and our collective efforts to support our communities with our industry-leading philanthropic efforts.

    I have been working at Regal part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Very friendly/ helpful coworkers and managers.
    - Tasks are relatively easy to learn, especially with other coworkers at your side.
    - Hours have been pretty flexible so far.
    - Free movies for you and a guest!
    - Free movie posters if you love to collect.
    - 50% off concessions!

    Cons

    - Even for part-time, every shift is 8 hours long.
    - Redeeming customers’ rewards points is over-complicated at times and is the source of most customer-service problems.
    - The free movie tickets can only be redeemed one hour before showtime. No pre-reserving (but hey, free is free)

    Advice to Management

    - Allow for 6 hour shifts if desired.
    - Update the concessions register so it can redeem Regal Crown Club points. Most patrons either don’t have the app or complain about having to go to the box-office to redeem points. Making a shortcut here would definitely speed things up!
    - If possible, early movie screenings for employees so we don’t have to worry about getting movies spoiled while on-the-job.

    I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Regal (Columbia, MD) in September 2018.

    Interview

    I applied online and heard back relatively quick. Once I got the call, we set up an interview (2 days after first call) with the hiring manager. After a relatively easy interview with simple questions, I was set up for a second interview with the manager a week later. That interview was more of a formality: I was just asked about my hours and the manager told me about the various positions. I was hired the next day.
