Our Mission

Deliver valued, comprehensive solutions through "The Rehmann Experience".

Our Vision

Be THE Firm of Choice for clients and associates.

Our Culture

Our brand promise,  Business Wisdom Delivered, doesn't mean we think we know it all. What it means is that we know how to listen, research, collaborate, learn from experience and innovate to come up with comprehensive solutions to complex problems. That means we work together with each other and with our clients to come up with great new ways to help people achieve their unique goals. Each of us lives the promise of "delivering business wisdom."

Our Values

Put People First.
At Rehmann, we believe that our long-term success depends first and foremost on people. By putting people first in everything we do, we develop and maintain high quality, mutually profitable relationships with our associates, clients, suppliers, strategic alliance partners and communities.

Be Obsessed with Client Success.
By always putting our clients' interests first, we develop a deep understanding of their business and personal goals. We provide proactive and creative business solutions that leverage the breadth and depth of expertise throughout Rehmann. Our clients value our counsel and trust our commitment to their success.

Cultivate Business Wisdom.
Business wisdom delivered is our value proposition; it is the promise we make as a company that sets us apart from our competitors.

Embrace an Entrepreneurial Spirit.
Rehmann is an entrepreneurial company, constantly seeking new ways to add value to our products and services for our clients. We willingly accept risk proportionate with the potential reward. We make the appropriate initial investment in new ventures, and emphasize long-term results over short-term profits.

Exhibit Unwavering Integrity.
Our business is built on trust. We work with the most confidential areas of our clients' lives and their finances, relationships and personal goals. To maintain the trust of our clients and our fellow associates, we never waver from the highest standards of integrity, respect and business ethics.

What began in 1941 as a single, Saginaw-based accounting firm has evolved into a synergistic collection of business services with a common mission: to provide valuable business solutions. Rehmann has grown to become one of the largest CPA, business-consulting and financial advising firms in the Midwest with more than 650 professionals in offices throughout Michigan, Ohio and Florida.

The firm inaugurated its accounting practice when Wayne Wagar opened its doors in September 1941. In October 1954, Jack Rehmann joined the firm and in 1961 the firm became Wagar, Lunt and Rehmann. Throughout the '80's the firm began a rapid expansion through a series of mergers. In October 1985, it became Rehmann, Robson and Co. under the direction of President & CEO Steve Kelly.

With an eye on developing diverse business services, the firm has since gone through a number of mergers with other accounting firms, business consulting and wealth management firms  creating a dominant force across Michigan's accounting and consulting community.

Rehmann is leading the charge of a new breed of accounting and business consulting firm, one that continues to adapt to a constantly evolving business realm; meeting the demands of today’s businesses by offering a greater scope of resources and expertise. Rehmann brings together these companies and subsidiaries under a common umbrella and identity:

  • Rehmann Robson - Assurance, Tax and Business Consulting
  • Rehmann Financial - Comprehensive Financial Planning
  • Rehmann Corporate Investigative Services - Professional Investigation and Security Consulting

The possibilities are endless...

Although Rehmann has traditional career paths for every area of the firm, we recognize that our associates aren’t always looking for “traditional” any longer. The possibilities are truly endless.  Each associate has a big hand in shaping their own career based on their individual strengths, interests, goals and passions.  The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well here at Rehmann.   Explore the website and you’ll get an idea of the extent of our service offerings and the wide range of experience our associates bring.  We’re always looking for new ways to build our business – for our clients and ourselves.

Training

Rehmann associates are encouraged to continue their education through both traditional and non-traditional course work.  The firm developed Rehmann University to provide onsite training opportunities through traditional seminars, online training and webinars and lunch and learns.  Associates can earn CPE credit, or learn about another service line right in their office and often during normal business hours.

Leadership Development

Rehmann offers several programs designed to develop and retain the best and brightest talent.  Through the Emerging Leaders program, focused on staff through manager level associates, and the Rehmann Career Advocacy Program (RCAP) an executive development program, Rehmann is focused on developing leaders at all levels.

Women's Initiative

Steve Kelly, CPA, Rehmann’s Chairman and CEO says, “By recognizing the contributions of our female associates, we not only help them to develop their own career, we better position our firm to continue benefiting from their talent. It’s a fairly straightforward proposition: Encourage and cultivate your most talented associates and allow them to grow with your firm; they, in turn, will promote the growth of the firm.”

Since the majority of candidates hired by CPA firms are women, Rehmann has committed to making support systems, training and development available to this high-potential talent.  This investment is vital in our efforts to retain the best and brightest.
