Remedy is partnering with online learning and skills training leader Penn Foster to launch Better WorkLife Academy, making a wide array of free career-focused courses available to its associates. The new initiative was announced by Joanie Courtney, President, Professional Division, EmployBridge.

“We are making a significant investment to underwrite the cost of these courses for our associates for two reasons,” said Courtney. “One is specific to our company: to reinforce our goal to help those who work for and with us to improve their skills, earn higher pay and have better career opportunities to improve their lives. The second reason is aspirational for our country: to partner with a prominent force in the education community to proactively attack the skills gap that continues to hinder the economic recovery.”

Penn Foster, a leading provider of skills development training and credentials for today’s frontline workforce, delivers its courses in a self-paced, competency-based model wrapped by comprehensive academic, professional and personal support and coaching.

The Penn Foster courses, to be offered to associates of most EmployBridge brands in the newly created Better WorkLife Academy, include a mix of administrative, manufacturing and technical offerings. Each course was selected due to relevance in increasing an individual’s pay and improving his or her future job prospects and to help meet the skills needs of today’s most in-demand jobs. 

“We’ve identified the industries that have the highest demand for skilled individuals, and we’ve worked with Penn Foster to develop a course list to best fit that demand,” said Brian Devine, Senior Vice President, EmployBridge. “Associates who step forward to take advantage of these courses will not only be increasing their skills in a particular area, they will be revealing focus, discipline and a dedication to self-improvement.”

Fantastic experience. Madeline was very professional and focused with her efforts to find opportunities for me. Entry interview was detailed and provided several good opportunities for me to explore. Entire staff worked well together and did a great job of staying in contact and returned my phone calls right away. I would recommend the Fort Atkinson WI office to anyone searching for a new career

It was such an outstanding experience. To get the matching job on the same day you seek their help is truly something I wouldn’t forget. I didn’t expect there is such a thing called “Apply today, Work tomorrow” ,but it works with Remedy :) ,I was offered to choose what times I could work and how many minutes far from home. I got technical support to have my online application completed inside the office. If I were the employee hiring myself, I couldn’t do anymore for me :). Thank you so much for your dedication and the great help you offer to new hires. God bless

This is one of the best companies I have ever worked for. Both Jessica and Mike are down to earth and comfortable people to work for. Upon my first arrival, I did not feel like I was walking into an office. It felt more like walking into a living room and meeting new family members, just all around a very welcoming atmosphere. And working for them was awesome. I learned so much, and those two had my back at any crossroad, and helped me in ways most companies would not even consider. They do business the right way, but still have the best interest of their employees in mind, which is not a quality a lot of agencies have these days. As a staffing agent myself, I regularly recommend Remedy to those looking for work if the company I work for is not for them. I work for a very reputable staffing company, but I felt everyone should know the best about Remedy. Mike and Jessica are the best and I will always recommend them! Thank you for coming into my life!

    I have been working at Remedy Intelligent Staffing full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    I can't speak on other branches except Portage, WI branch. I have had good experiences with them. They are very friendly, understanding, and willing to work with any situation. They have always put noticeable effort into finding and placing me with employment. The area I live in is very rural so job placement is not easy to come by but they usually manage to pull something out of their hat for me.

    Cons

    As with employment through any temp agency, the need to report to 2 companies is quite a hassle at times, especially in emergency situations.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!
