Advice to Management
Position openings should be publicly posted to give all employees an opportunity to apply. Promotions should also be available across all roles.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Remix.
CEO reached out via email asking if I would like to meet up for coffee so he could tell me more about Remix. Once I replied back I was informed his assistant would schedule a time for us to meet. His assistant replied back, and informed me a phone screen is required before coffee. This felt weird, since I never applied and was asked to have coffee so the CEO could pitch me.
I ended up doing the phone screen, and a day later I was told I can now have coffee with the CEO. When I finally had coffee with the CEO he seemed more focused on flirting with the barista then talking with me. Overall a very negative experience.
