    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Renton Technical College (Renton, WA) in September 2017.

    Interview

I applied online on their school employment website. I received a call for an interview about 10 days later. Received explicit overview of who I would interview with and their position. First interview was a panel with 7 other employees of RTC. ( it was first aranged to be only 5, but they added a few more plus changed out who was going to be attending.)

IT can be quite intimidating if you are not prepared. Everybody introduced themselves and what they did. They had prepared questions that each person took and asked. All took furious notes when I answered questions. You need to be very prepared with situational questions and talk about your previous successes and how that can apply to your job.

I felt pretty confident when I left that i did a good job. Although the questions were difficult, they were very responsive to me. The next day I received an invitation to the second interview. This was with the President of the college and the VP of instruction. Also, a very challenging interview with lots of situational questions.

I called my references to let them know to expect a call. They called right away. Called all 3 references. It took about a week before I got the job offer extended. There was not negotiations. I started the following week.
