I worked at Republic Polytechnic full-time
Pro-family environment, opportunities for career advancement, friendly and helpful colleagues, great inter-disciplinary cooperation, commensuration and benefits are at market rates, and finally, the overall staff welfare is well taken care of.
Like many organizations, sometimes the egos of some upper management figures get in the way of better team dynamics and work conditions. Being an MOE institution, sometimes the regular workload and training programs (especially during term breaks and school holidays) can be quite overwhelming.
Advice to Management
Ideally, it would be good if the Principal and various Schools Directors will be more humble and treat their staff with respect and open minds. That is the Achilles heel for many local upper management as sometimes their expectations can be almost quite unrealistic. Tone down the egos and expectations and the workplace can become almost perfect for everyone.
I applied online. I interviewed at Republic Polytechnic.
2 rounds of interviews, one with middle management and one with senior management. They asked questions relating to my prior experience and why I want to join RP. First round was made up with 2 ADs and a SL, 2nd round was with the directors.
