I have been working at Respawn Entertainment full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The crew treats you like family.
Every single employee is a badass, there is tons of freedom because everyone just expects and trusts you will get your work done so no one is looking over your shoulder.
Tons of creative freedom and control over your work, you always have the ability to express your thoughts and feelings on the project without fear of being neglected or punished for honest criticism.

Just the coolest place to grow and learn and become and epic level game developer

    Cons

Design team has a bad habit of not ever fully committing to a decision. This makes great games in the end but the artists further down the pipeline suffer greatly and were still trying to get designers to understand how much harder we have to work because of it.

    Advice to Management

Don’t let the amazing independent culture of the studio die. Long live Respawn.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Respawn Entertainment in March 2017.

    Interview

Was contacted by a Respawn recruiter and then sent the link for the software engineer test at HackerRank, had some issues with the test includes an error in the data that was given in the test cases and emailed back the recruiter no response. Submitted the test and sent another email no response. After about two weeks had to send a message directly over LinkedIn directly to the recruiter to even get a response. Initially they said that they never sent a recruiter offer then after checking finally got back to me and simply copy and pasting a rejection response without any other info. This would have to be the most unprofessional behavior from a recruiter I've ever encountered and portrays the company in a bad light.
