Black History Month is an annual celebration of the achievements, culture, and history of Black people and communities. At Restaurant Brands International, we believe that a wide range of diverse voices and perspectives make us stronger. Last year, we announced our commitment to diversity and ten actions we have been working on to become more diverse. As part of that commitment, we participated in the Thurgood Marshall College Fund Leadership Institute and increased our recruiting presence at Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the US. This month, we plan to honor and celebrate Black history and culture through multiple initiatives across our people and brands. From an employee-led Introduction to Stepping course, an in-house food demonstration by a Top Chef Finalist to explore how the cuisines of the African Diaspora have impacted the many foods we love and serve today, and a Franchisees panel to discuss how RBI can help support and guarantee the success of our Black Franchisees. Keep an eye out as we share highlights from some of our events!
