Reward Gateway – Why Work For Us?

Our Culture is what drives us.

At Reward Gateway, we make beautiful products for HR managers that allow them to better connect their organisations to their employees. The technology we build and the service we deliver is the creative output of over 355 passionate, enthusiastic and dedicated people based across 7 offices in 5 countries.

The culture, values and standards that we operate demonstrate that employee engagement is at the heart of our business.

What we believe:

We see a world where people expect more from work. A world where everyone can expect to be challenged, be inspired and feel valued. But that value was missing from hard-to-use benefits and reward programmes. This led us to create Reward Gateway, the place where we connect organisations and their people together.

Our products create an opportunity for you to reward, thank, involve, understand, communicate and connect employees with each other. But it’s our creative, passionate people who transform our products into a service employees use, value and love. That’s the magic.

And we believe that in a world where employees feel valued amazing things will happen. Organisations will grow stronger and people will be happier. We want to build that world with you. We want to make the world a happier place to work.

These are our values.

I have been working at Reward Gateway full-time

    Pros

An established business, great program and a culture that allows you to develop while having a great time. Avoids all the corporate "smoke and mirrors" and what you see is exactly what you get. The management genuinely cares about your progress and success. From one-on-one interaction with the CEO to working directly with the account managers you never question where you stand or what direction the company is going. And it is going on to GREAT things.

    Cons

Tough market because completely challenges what the perceived value of a discount program is within the United States. If you want to succeed - you need to put in the hard work to do so. (weak con - but that is pretty much it)

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing - stay transparent. This company is going to continue to grow fast and success is going to come quickly. Don't let it change the awesome culture!

    Content Manager Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Boston, MA
    No Offer
    Negative Experience
    Easy Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at Reward Gateway (Boston, MA) in November 2016.

    Interview

STAY far, far AWAY from this company and the Boston office which seems lovely on the outside with all its culture handbooks and promises of benefits, etc... but then you come to discover that they will jerk you around and treat you horribly. You will wait weeks, months, SEVERAL months before you are told what is happening next in your interview process. They even admitted they lost several applications months earlier (which another reviewer commented on). You think to yourself it might be worth it because you love what the company does and you truly want to be a part of it, but then after you have had five phone interviews and three in person, you are told the next thing you will do is meet the CEO. How exciting, the last step in the interview process!!

Then you wait a few more weeks and nothing happens despite your emails saying how excited you are to continue and asking when you can come in. Then things quickly shift and you are told that, "They haven't really interviewed anyone else for the position yet." They tell you that you're wonderful and did nothing wrong and in fact they loved you. So...they won't consider hiring you because no one else has applied?!! I couldn't believe how unprofessional this was or what I was hearing. Why was I being penalized for that? It would have been much better if they had just told me, we are not interested in hiring you. Then several weeks later I finally asked if I was hired or not because after so long I think I deserved to know what exactly was going on. To add insult to injury I was then told that they are, "Putting the position on the back burner while they reprioritize other roles."

So the question became WHY put me through all of that (several trips into Boston and several interviews) if you didn't want to hire someone? I was STILL never told a definitive yes or no. Reward Gateway is a company I once thought was my dream job, but ended up being so disappointing and in fact does NOT treat people kindly at all. A kind and caring company simply would not jerk people around like that. It was a waste of three months of my time. No comment or apology necessary, just know that I was treated unfairly and I am moving on to a better job that truly values my time and what I offer.
