RiseSmart offers outplacement services that are better, smarter, and faster than the rest – delivering greater value for better savings than those of outdated, traditional offerings.
We’ve helped thousands of people find new jobs quickly with the outplacement resources we provide through our outplacement programs. In the process we have also helped world-leading companies reduce costs and protect their valuable brands.
Our story is far from over yet. We invite you to be part of it.
THE RISESMART STORY
It starts with Sanjay Sathe looking for a new job and getting frustrated – really frustrated – with the available job sources and career tools. There had to be an easier way, he thought, to sift through all the jobs listed online and find the ones that fit his skills and experience.
From that frustration came inspiration. Whereas traditional outplacement offerings tend to focus more on helping laid-off employees cope with being jobless, RiseSmart helps those employees turn a setback into an opportunity by giving them relevant job leads and expediting the job search process to move their careers forward. And guess what? Traditional outplacement companies are still living in the past.
Taking Care of Business
Sanjay and company co-founder Dan Davenport started out working in coffee shops and even moved into a modest first office inside a warehouse to get the company going in 2007. A year later they were in Silicon Valley, and along came investors who believed in their idea: a mix of individualized, personal service backed by the latest technology could help people find new work much faster and at a lower cost to their former employers than more traditional approaches.
RiseSmart’s original next-generation outplacement solution, Transition Concierge, followed by its latest innovations in RiseSmart Spotlight, have helped us achieve impressive growth. We’ve grown our revenues and our team while adding an impressive roster of new companies to our list of customers. We are proud to call our customers a great mix of small and medium enterprises and Fortune 500 companies. Every one of the companies that has become a RiseSmart customer is still a RiseSmart customer. We have also earned a 9+ out of 10 customer satisfaction score across thousands of RiseSmart participants.
We Are Family
Amid this growth, RiseSmart hasn’t forgotten how important it is to be a great place to work. Sanjay and the management team continue to commit themselves with passion and determination to RiseSmart and its employees. Not only do we win awards for innovation, but we are also frequently recognized as employer of choice. In fact, RiseSmart has been named one of the Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and San Francisco Business Times three years in a row.
Welcome to the Revolution
RiseSmart has had an amazing beginning, but our story is far from over. Now we’re taking our reinvention of the outplacement industry to the next level with even more powerful technology and services to make outplacement a benefit for companies and their transitioning employees alike. I have been working at RiseSmart full-time
RiseSmart hires the best of the best. Outstanding benefits, caring culture. Innovation thrives within RiseSmart. Every colleague is willing to help, there are no strangers at RiseSmart.
There are no cons to working at RiseSmart.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at RiseSmart (Phoenix, AZ) in February 2018.
The overall interview process was quasi-professional. Contacts with the initial screener were professional and cordial. Questions asked and information provided were clear, concise and informative.
The problem was the next step in the process. I received a phone call from the interviewer at the appointed time, only to find out that the interview needed to be re-scheduled because of the interviewer's need to finish another call with a person who was described as "verbose."
I agreed to rescheduling the appointment and providing availabilities, which I did immediately. I did not receive an immediate reply on scheduling and ended up having to contact to change availabilities. This seemed to elicit a reply. However, because of incomplete emails, I had to email for clarification a couple of times.
Finally, I did have an interview that seemed to go well. I did receive brief feedback on the results, and it was suggested that I might re-apply at a later time.
Overall, the process was demoralizing, and I came away with the impression of an organization that allows representatives who lack consistency and attention to detail. If I were to ever consider this company again, it would be based upon the screening interviewer's professionalism - a point that was well-lacking in the job interviewer.
