I have been working at Roadster full-time (Less than a year)

The product is widely accepted as the standard-bearer in the segment and the technical and field support are truly top-notch. The company is very well run- the leadership team clearly communicates vision and is also very accessible. The culture is such that people are empowered to do what it takes to get the job done. There is none of the bro-culture I’ve experienced in tech startups.

It’s a startup- so you have to be prepared for a fast pace and limited resources. I very much enjoy those elements, but they’re not for everyone.

I applied online. I interviewed at Roadster.

First interview was a phone call, went very well, interviewer was very nice. My second was also a phone call and that went well also.

Next step was an in person, which my contact was trying to set up. They called one afternoon asking me to come in the next day. I asked if the following day was possible and I was told no. We agreed on a time and later I asked if it could be moved up a 30 minutes and was told no.

The in-person went well. All three people were nice enough. I had a total of 5 different interviews and I sent an email to each person after each round. I only received one reply.

The job required travel and working remotely. I talked with 4 different people and asked each what a typical month would look like travel wise, and everyone provided a different answer, a big red flag.

A few days later, I received an auto-generated rejection email. I reached out asking for feedback and the team just said they picked someone else and didn't provide any feedback.

Everyone was relatively nice, though inflexible and non-responsive. I think rejecting someone who did 3 rounds and 5 total interviews without a personal call or email is unprofessional. Maybe I dodged a bullet here.
