Mission: As a private, comprehensive institution committed to active learning and student success, Robert Morris University is recognized for integrating liberal arts with a professionally focused, applied education that prepares students for leadership in a rapidly changing world.
I worked at Robert Morris University - Pennsylvania full-time (More than 5 years)
Nice place to work. The benefits as an employee are extremely helpful. You can take advantage of discounted education costs for yourself and children. There will usually be opportunities to grow as well. The quality of your experience will always depend on the people you are reporting to. There are many great people/leaders at the university but there are some that are very poor. Your experience will really depend on your department and supervisor.
There are many politics so you must be prepared. The pay is not always the best since they try to leverage some of the additional benefits you receive when working at the institution.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Robert Morris University - Pennsylvania (Pittsburgh, PA) in April 2016.
It is not a comprehensive interview process and they do not even have you teach a class as part of the process. They sit in a panel and ask you about your personal life and what your teaching style is like.
