Robins & Morton – Why Work With Us?

Founded in 1946, Robins & Morton is a privately-held construction firm committed to making a lasting impact on the people and companies we partner with. Dedication to our core values, coupled with a focus on innovation, enables us to attract and retain the best people, delivering exceptional results on every project. In the past ten years alone, we have completed nearly $10 billion in projects throughout the country. These projects vary from major new hospitals and complex renovations, to hospitality projects and a variety of other commercial work.

Specialized construction experience, collaboration with all project team members and doing whatever it takes to meet our commitments are key to the successful completion of each project.

Robins & Morton, a privately held company, was founded in 1946 by Todd Robins. Originally called Robins Engineering, the company’s first project was an 800 square-foot gas station on the east side of Birmingham. For the next 20 years the company focused on the engineering, design and construction of steel mills in the South and Midwest.

The construction of Downtown General Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee in the early 70’s marked the beginning of Robins & Morton’s healthcare construction emphasis. Larger healthcare construction projects followed and the company met each new challenge with innovation, enthusiasm and a “whatever it takes” attitude.

Since then, Robins & Morton has grown from a modest construction firm into one of the top contractors in the United States. As reflected in the company’s Values, Mission and Vision, Robins & Morton was founded on principles of quality, integrity and commitment. A dedication to exceeding our clients’ expectations has allowed us to complete more than 1800 successful projects in 38 states. Over the years we have grown from our initial office in Birmingham to offices in Charlotte, Dallas, Huntsville, Nashville, Miami and Orlando. These geographic offices help us better serve our existing clients and allow us to pursue new opportunities in these areas.

Since our founding more than 70 years ago, Robins & Morton has been established as one of the top commercial contractors in the United States. We directly attribute that success to the quality of our people. Becoming a member of the Robins & Morton team means becoming part of a family that welcomes diverse ideas and collaboration to achieve shared goals. We work hard to deliver quality construction for our clients and go above and beyond to care for one another.

At Robins & Morton, we build with purpose. With values that are, at their heart, family-oriented, we work to serve our clients well while also striving to impact the world around us in meaningful ways.

Our company values integrity, safety, and innovative thinking. Our commitment to these priorities has enabled us to become a leader in the construction world while establishing an organizational culture that promotes individual professional development, opportunities for advancement, work-life balance, and community engagement.

At Robins & Morton, we don’t just build important structures. We also build exceptional people and strong communities.

As a professional services provider, Robins & Morton’s success is 100% dependent on our people. They fuel our performance and set us apart from our competitors. Aside from skills, our employees possess integrity, a proactive, team-oriented attitude, creative problem-solving skills and an aptitude for adapting and learning new skills as they grow with the company.

A commitment to client satisfaction, excellence in execution, and providing the best environment for employee growth creates a culture that makes Robins & Morton a trusted construction partner. Our people share a commitment to client service, safety, quality performance, integrity, and respect. This common culture is a catalyst for attracting and retaining the best people who can in turn deliver exceptional service and creative solutions to our clients.

Robins & Morton continues to evolve with the ever-changing construction industry, developing new and better ways to serve our clients. But our values and guiding principles remain the same. These values define who we are and lay the foundation for the promises we make to our clients, employees, trade partners and communities to always be reliable both on and off the jobsite.

    Application

I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Robins & Morton (Sewickley, PA).

    Interview

The interview went smoothly. They were very nice people and down to earth, but were also completely professional. I thought we were all in good spirits and left feeling very positive about meeting with the supervisor. Unfortunately, I was not hired and so I must have misread everything.
