I worked at Rockingham Memorial Hospital as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is great place to do an internship. I was in the administrative side of the hospital and was able to learn a lot.

    Cons

Nothing, I felt very useful and learned a lot during my time at RMH.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Rockingham Memorial Hospital (Harrisonburg, VA) in August 2015.

    Interview

I had three interviews at this facility, all of which were conducted in a similar, laid-back style. The nurse managers were willing to answer every and all questions I had for them, they seemed just as interested in making sure that their nursing floor was a good fit for me as I would be for it. The questions came from a set of stock questions used hospital-wide and were all open ended (i.e. "describe a situation when...") When the primary interview is concluded the nurse manager will tell you whether or not they would like to send you to the next step, which is a peer interview, and I was contacted about scheduling that within a few days.

    Interview Questions

    • Describe a situation in which you had to deliver news to someone that they did not like or agree with, how did they handle it? What did you do to improve the situation?

Tell me about the nicest compliment you have ever received as a nurse.
