Great mission, collaborative culture, good pay and excellant benefits. Strong sales culture with dedicated staff to lead and train junior staff. True consulting work ethic. Senior leadership wants to keep firm employee owned - working on a game plan to make happen.
Technical talent is limited by FPE school gradutes. Must look outside FPE ranks and train. Global economic presures affect business and work load.
Advice to Management
Continue to reach out to staff for input and stay the course. Opportunities exist for junior staff but they need to earn them. Continue to offer ownership opportunities. Staying employee owned is important.
I applied through college or university. The process took 2+ months. I interviewed at Rolf Jensen & Associates (Washington, DC) in March 2009.
Resume was given directly to a manager at a university function. Manager contacted me later and set up a a pair of phone interviews with him and with another engineer. No on site interview was done before an offer was made.
I did not negotiate.
