Rosetta Resources – Why Work For Us?

Rosetta Resources is an independent oil and gas company based in Houston, Texas engaged in the exploration, development and exploitation of onshore energy resources in the United States of America. We are a leading producer in the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas, one of the nation's largest unconventional resource plays, and hold a large oil-weighted position in the Permian Basin in West Texas.

As a company we are focused on maintaining an inventory of high-return, low-risk unconventional drilling opportunities offering long-term production and reserve growth and a balanced commodity mix. Our efforts are supported by a strong commitment to enhanced stockholder value and technological innovation to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.

With our success as an unconventional resource player, Rosetta is poised to offer significant investor value into the future.

We offer a unique work environment as an exploration and production company that is moving aggressively to implement our growth strategy in unconventional resource plays.  Rosetta is a leading player in the Eagle Ford shale in South Texas and recently gained entry into the Permian Basin in West Texas through an acquisition of oil-targeted assets.  The company is currently recruiting new engineering, technical, field operations and administrative talent to support our start-up operations there.

Rosetta is a true independent that values input from all individuals and gives them the opportunity to contribute to the decision-making processes. Our smaller size means fewer layers of management and the ability to respond quickly to changes and opportunities in the marketplace.  Our employees demonstrate strong teamwork, mutual respect for each other and an entrepreneurial spirit.  In return, we reward them for their initiative and skills both financially and with career-enhancing opportunities.

One of the best benefits packages I've seen: minimum 3 weeks vacation, 9/80 work schedule, complimentary snack, drinks, fruit. Professional development provided. Annual bonus and stock grant based on company and individual performance. Incredibly generous 401K plan. Relaxed work environment.

No definite career path. Chief executives favor their own people. Very much a good old boys club.

    Senior Corporate Recruiter Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Houston, TX
    No Offer

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Rosetta Resources (Houston, TX).

The recruiter would not discuss the opportunity prior to an on-site interview and would not answer my email questions either. Typically in the world of recruiting a phone interview is conducted first to establish interest level and and answer any questions. It could have saved both of us time if I was out of the salary band, for instance. Instead i only got short answers composed of a few words that didn't answer any questions. After the interview I received a candidate declined email by the recruiter within 20 minutes which is very unprofessional.

    Interview Questions

    • I was not really asked many questions around recruiting or sourcing strategy. The recruiter just went over my answers to my application.   Answer Question
