One reason for Ryan's success is that we share the success with our employees. We have created an innovative incentive program that allows us to distribute bonus income to employees based on their contributions to an engagement. Our base salaries are highly competitive, and the income potential for sharing in the value that we deliver to our clients is unparalleled.

Ryan recognizes that our benefits provide for the well-being of our employees and their families. Most of our benefits are available to employees on the first of the month following their date of hire. Employees working in a regular, full scope or reduced scope one (1) capacity are eligible to participate in all of the benefit plans offered by the Firm. And because we understand that one size does not fit all, we offer many benefit plan choices, including:

Medical Coverage 
Medical plans offered by Ryan include outstanding health benefits and choices for our eligible employees and their dependents (i.e., spouse, domestic partner, and children). We offer two plans that allow employees the freedom to use both in-network and out-of-network providers for medically necessary and routine preventive care services—a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan and a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). An employer subsidy is provided for both employee and dependent coverage.

Wellness Program
Our wellness program is modeled after Ryan’s results focused work environment. Individuals enrolled in a Ryan medical plan will be eligible to participate in the program and will have the opportunity to earn substantial premium credits if they meet the criteria of the program. Additionally, the program offers great resources to encourage participants to make healthy lifestyle choices and enjoy the benefits of improved overall wellness.

Dental Coverage
Ryan offers a  PPO dental plan, including orthodontia coverage, to all eligible employees and their dependents.

Vision Coverage
Ryan offers comprehensive vision coverage to all eligible employees and their dependents.

Pre-Tax Programs
Ryan’s Section 125 Plan enables eligible employees to pay for certain benefit plan premiums with pre-tax dollars. Net taxable income is reduced, which potentially lowers income and social security tax. Pre-tax options in the Section 125 program are as follows:

  1. Medical/Dental/Vision Premiums
  2. Health Care Reimbursement or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) - Employees are able to set aside pre-tax income to pay for non-reimbursable medical expenses for themselves and their qualified dependents. These expenses are not covered by insurance.
  3. Health Savings Accounts (HSA) - Employees who are enrolled in the HDHP may elect to open an HSA for pre-tax payroll deduction. The HSA is owned and opened by the employee. Ryan provides the option of this account for payroll deduction via our medical plan provider and its affiliates. Additionally, Ryan offers an employer HSA contribution for employees enrolled in the HSA and contributing a certain amount.

Company-Paid and Voluntary Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance
Ryan provides group term life and AD&D insurance coverage at no cost to all regular, full scope and reduced scope one (1) employees. Employees may purchase additional term life and AD&D insurance coverage for themselves and their dependents.

Short- and Long-Term Disability 
Ryan provides both short- and long-term disability insurance at no cost to eligible employees.

Employee Assistance Program
Ryan employees and their immediate families have access to a confidential resource and referral services to discuss personal or professional issues they may be facing. This service is fully subsidized by the Firm.

401(k) Plan
Ryan offers a competitive 401(k) plan that provides a full array of investment options to make pre-tax or Roth 401(k) contributions and an employer matching contribution to all eligible employees.

Physical Fitness Program
Ryan provides a partial subsidy to eligible employees for membership dues at the fitness club of their choice.

Focus on Results

As part of our innovative myRyan work environment, employees are free to take time off at their discretion, guilt free, consistent with the needs of clients and the Firm, as long as their work gets done. The focus is on results and superior client service, rather than on where and when work is completed. myRyan is designed to allow professionals to achieve the highest level of success and productivity in all areas of life, including professional and personal endeavors. Because Ryan measures performance on results achieved, not hours worked, traditional vacation and Paid Time Off (PTO) programs are not in place for exempt (salaried) employees. 

The Firm provides eligible non-exempt (hourly) employees twenty-two (22) personal days off per year, which increases to twenty-seven (27) days after five (5) years of service. This time, which accrues on a per-pay-period basis, is available for vacation, illness, personal business, or any other time away from work. Time off for bereavement, extended illness/incapacity, jury duty, military, and parental leaves are handled through the Firm’s Time Off Programs Policy. 

The Firm provides ten (10) paid holidays per year to all eligible employees.

Leaves of Absence (LOA) 
Ryan offers generous paid and unpaid leaves of absence for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to, bereavement, jury duty, maternity, paternity, adoption, and military. 

Parking facilities for all Ryan offices are subsidized by the Firm for the convenience of employees. 

CPA/Bar Exam Review Course and Bonus 
Upon successful completion of the Uniform CPA/Bar Examination while employed by Ryan, the Firm will reimburse up to $2,500 for fees relating to review courses taken during employment at the Firm. In addition, any employee who successfully completes the Uniform CPA/Bar Examination, while an employee of the Firm, will receive a cash bonus of $1,500. 

Professional Dues 
Professional dues to the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), state societies, and other equivalent professional associations for non-CPAs are reimbursable. 

These benefits may change from time to time at the Firm's discretion. This list is intended to provide a general outline of our benefits program. Ryan reserves the right to amend these benefits.

    Transparent leadership, Leaders who care about the employees, Stable employment, MyRyan workplace flexibility, Great managers and peers, Great clients.

    Ryan, LLC is a wonderful place to work. During my time here I have seen people come and go. MyRyan is a great benefit for workplace flexibility but has really been the reason why we have been able to operate at 110% during the COVID crisis. Our company has not cut any jobs, benefits, salaries, bonuses, or promotions. We are so busy we still need new hires! Obviously it depends on the service line you work in, but it feels great sending clients results informing them of the thousands of dollars saved by our teams. This is critical right now when businesses revenues are gone and they need the money. Our leadership has held monthly conferences for updates on the status of our company. We are still breaking records for revenues. I feel very blessed to still have a job where we are busy as ever while I see friends and family laid off. Brint has really led Ryan, LLC to be the leader and experts in niche markets. We have teams on the ground in every major market and can receive assistance in minutes. I have seen the company grow in my 4 years here and I hope I can stay until I am old. Seeing and hearing what is happening to other firms or companies in the tax industry reinforces my loyalty and commitment to Ryan, LLC. I just hope I am;# able to continuously provide them with results. Being adaptable is key and Ryan adapts with each new challenge.


    We have been putting in extra hours during this COVID shutdown due to increased business. We consider ourselves the leaders in Tax consulting so we should set the standard for salaries and benefits. Industry benchmarks are useful but we should be the benchmark. MyRyan is great but is occasionally treated differently depending on the office and team you work on. Other than those small cons, there is nothing I think we could improve on.

    Advice to Management

    Continue striving to be the best and leaders in all areas. We should be the benchmark everyone else looks to.
