I have been working at S&C Electric full-time (Less than a year)
Excellent Benefits. Company encourages you to learn and will pay for additional training internally or externally, as long as you can demonstrate how it will benefit your career. Management has an open door policy and is always willing to step in and help when asked. Depending on the department, your hours can be flexible. The paid shut down for the last two weeks of the year is my personal favorite!!!
Very traditional. Work from home is not a thing yet. If you're not on the floor, you cannot wear jeans (probably the only company left that doesn't at LEAST have casual Fridays). Coffee is not free (which is a definite con in today's society). The pay grade appears to be lower than average. Commute Is always terrible going home, no matter which direction you take (unless your local).
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at S&C Electric.
It was a phone interview, very relaxed. It took about 45 minutes I believe, but the interview was done in about 35 minutes and the last 10 minutes was me asking my interviewer questions. It was relatively easy, but it was also my first interview so I wasn't as prepared as I could have been.
