I have been working at S&C Electric full-time (More than a year)
Very employee-focused. Employee-owned. Highly ethical. Leadership is approachable. Benefits are amazing: STD & LTD are company paid, as is Life insurance (multiple times your salary).
Change is a slow and frustrating process. This 100+ year old company takes its time making changes. Ineffective employees (trouble-makers and slackers) get a pass... They hang out until retirement, which makes it difficult and or simply frustrating for those with a solid work ethic to function.
Advice to Management
Note: Kyle Seymour is the current President of S&C. John Estey stepped down, but remains on the Board of Directors.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at S&C Electric.
It was simple.
There were two interviewers.
They asked about a few items on my resume, asked me to tell them about a time I handled something that went wrong. There was only one interview in the process.
