I recently got offered a marketing manager position at S&P global in their london office right after my masters. The pay is good, but I don’t know anything about the company culture apart from it being a financial services company. I have 1 n half years of professional work experience plus 6 months of internship experience at Amazon as a PM intern. Should I go for it if the pay is above 35k GBP?

Make sure that you vet the manager(s) that you'll work with at S&P Global.

I interviewed for a PM role with a senior PM who would have been my direct manager, and he was incredibly unprofessional. This person was rolling his eyes on the zoom call, talked dismissively about my experiences, told me that I was bad at my prior job, amongst other things. Throughout all of this, I tried my best to keep my composure.

When it came to my time to ask questions, one of the questions I asked was why he decided to work at S&P. I basically wanted him to sell me on the company and hear about his experiences there, even though I had already decided by then that I didn't want to work with him. Instead, he started talking about why S&P hired him because he was a "super star at what he did." He spent several minutes talking about how awesome he was. He was surprised that I didn't have more questions after that. He was a very bad representative for S&P Global.

It was such a strange experience and completely turned me off from pursuing other roles at S&P.
