I have been working at S&T Bancorp full-time (Less than a year)
- Management is stellar, and the employees as a whole are kind
-The company mixes the attitude of a multi-billion dollar bank with the friendliness of a small company
-Those working at the Solution Center are vastly under-paid. They're the swiss-army knives of the entire bank, and are the whipping boy for customers who call in generally irate, yet receive non-competitive wages.
-The customers are terrible
Advice to Management
-Make a more reasonable stacked bonus incentive system
-Try to get higher wages
I applied online. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at S&T Bancorp (Indiana, PA) in November 2011.
Applied online middle of Sept. '11. Received phone call 2nd week in Nov., asking to fill out and fax in employment application. After passing initial screening, was told I would be interviewing near the end of Nov. Interviewed by two executives (one in HR). A week or so later, they made a hiring decision.
The 1st interview I've ever been on where I felt as if I had no chance to get the job. It's like the decision to not hire me or hire someone else had already been made prior to the interview: complete waste of time.
