    I worked at SAIC full-time

    Pros

Had plenty of autonomy as long as business was growing well. Lots of good people in my department. Compensation was competitive.

    Cons

Everything driven by the contracts you win. Departments sometimes competing with each other for pieces of the same pie. Often groups were more inclined to team with external companies than internal peer groups.

    Advice to Management

Don't change a thing. Competition is healthy, as is natural selection. Continue to reward success and drive out lagging failures!
