    The company is young with a ton of amazing projects in the pipeline to keep the software engineers engaged and happy.
    Great opportunity to get involved in brand new projects to shape the direction and the technology used for the projects!
    All teams are amazing and my team specifically!
    My boss is a rockstar and the CTO/CEO/COO are super kind and down to earth.
    Usually, sales and engineers don't get along, however, this is not the case at SIMON. great individuals!

    Being part of WeWork is a plus.
    Scala is amazing!


    Perks/benefits could be a little better, even though 401k and health are not too bad.
    Equity portion could be better even for a series C startup.

    Advice to Management

    I hope hiring managers don't forget the culture as we grow and reward hard workers. So far A+ for everybody.

    I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at SIMON Markets.


    Applied online and was contacted by a recruiter for availability, I sent my availability and did not hear back for a week until I sent a follow-up email. I was then scheduled for an interview with her and Head of People. Went well. Got scheduled for technical screening with 2 QA Engineers. Went well. Had last round of interview with Head of Sales (I think) and she just asked me about my resume and behavioral questions. Later had 2 people interview and asked me about UI automation and API automation (3) and then had an interview with 2 more people later. (4) A lot of technical questions (no programming) just asked me to talk it out. Had 3 more rounds after that (5) and then a final interview with the head of the engineering (who asked me not very technical questions)

    Interview Questions

    • 1. Find counts of each string in a sentence
      2. Find the second smallest number in the array
      3. Come up with API automation framework to get a list of products and add it to cart, once added to the cart, then checkout (3 different APIs)
      4. They asked me about Oauth, list comprehension, team structure, UI automation, backend services, 403, 500 errors from the postman and how would I debug those.
      5. Questions about Kafka, Inventory management testing, how would I build an API and how would I test an API for their product that they have internally.   Answer Question
