I worked at SMC Corporation full-time
Fair salary, decent benefits, great bonus for acheivers (in the past), quality products. In the early years, a very dynamic company with a can do attitude. Customer was first, and the company would find a way to get it done. This resulted in amazing growth and customer acceptance
Orwellian management shifted focus to cost. Micromanagement is now the prime directive. Customers now must adhere to company policies, extended leadtimes, incresed pricing. HQ in Japan seems to be oblivious
Advice to Management
