The International Antiviral Society-USA and CROI Foundation appoints SPARGO, Inc. as their Registration and Housing Management Firm
We are pleased to announce that the International Antiviral Society–USA and CROI Foundation (IAS-USA) has appointed SPARGO, Inc. as its Registration & Housing Management provider for the 26th Annual Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (CROI). The IAS-USA serves as the organizer for the logistical planning and organization for CROI.
CROI is the preeminent HIV research meeting in the world and attracts more than 4,000 HIV/AIDS research leaders internationally. CROI is a highly exclusive scientific conference and provides a forum for HIV/AIDS researchers from around the world to translate their laboratory and clinical findings into tangible progress against the HIV pandemic. CROI has facilitated the presentation of important discoveries in the field, thereby ultimately accelerating progress in HIV/AIDS research.
The National Apartment Association appoints SPARGO, Inc. as Registration and Housing Management Firm
We are pleased to announce that the National Apartment Association (NAA) has appointed SPARGO, Inc. as its Registration & Housing Management provider for its meetings beginning in 2019. NAA has more than 78,000 members working together to show communities the value, innovation and inclusivity that comes when partnering with rental housing companies.
Beginning in 2019, SPARGO will take over registration and housing management responsibilities for NAA’s meetings. NAA’s annual event, Apartmentalize, is the largest, most important rental housing industry event with nearly 10,000 housing professionals working to keep up to date on training while networking and generating future business opportunities. Along with Apartmentalize, SPARGO will assist NAA on its CampusConnex and Maximize events.

SPARGO was founded in 1973 by John W. Spargo. When established, the organization's primary focus was tradeshow sales and management. In the early 1980's, SPARGO began a carefully orchestrated expansion program, to diversify its customer base. The expansion program included the addition of other complementary services, including housing, registration, meeting logistics and exhibitor lead management services. By the mid 1990's, the company employed 75 employees and had diversified its customer base. Today, SPARGO employs 180 full time professionals, servicing nearly 120 events annually. SPARGO remains a privately owned company, providing services to more than 50 different association and corporate customers.
SPARGO provides superior customer service and utilizes the most advanced technologies available in the industry. Technologies employed by SPARGO include the enterprise version of A2Z (Exposition Management Software) and proprietary software designed exclusively for SPARGO use. The SPARGO Registration and Housing System combines secure e-commerce solutions, advanced data management features and robust marketing and reporting tools.

Financial investments in the company are targeted at the purchase and in-house development of new technologies that streamline operations and/or provide benefits to our customers and their attendees/exhibitors. Funding for technological advancements is a major portion of our annual operating budget. Additional investments are made for staff training and continued education. Course study is fully funded by SPARGO for employees seeking their CMP, CAE, CEM and other industry accreditation programs. Our systems constantly evolve to meet the needs of the end users (exhibitors, attendees and client personnel). Exhibitors, clients and attendees are recruited to test new systems before launch and provide critical user feedback. This has resulted in a suite of online tools that truly benefit our customers.

I applied online. The process took 5+ months. I interviewed at SPARGO (Fairfax, VA) in June 2017.
Several stages and interviews occurred approximately one month apart. Interviews consisted of really basic canned questions read off of an obvious list pre-provided to the interviewers. Really bad interview process for this day and age.
