Software Engineering at SRC

At SRC, software engineers play a crucial role in the development of our systems’ capabilities. They are responsible for writing the code that makes our radars, sensors and electronic warfare solutions effective.

Systems Engineering at SRC

At SRC, a systems engineer leads a project team in decomposing customer requirements into smaller, more actionable requirements that engineering teams can use as they begin to design a new solution.

Test Engineering at SRC

At SRC, a test engineer works as part of the systems engineering team to derive requirements and test systems to make sure they perform as expected. Test engineers are constantly working to mitigate risk and reduce the number of bugs introduced throughout the engineering process.

Product Engineering at SRC

Product engineers are problem solvers who work closely with engineering teams to influence product design at every stage, helping to create long-lasting, manufacturable products that meet our customer’s critical needs. At the same time, they address any issues that might arise during the manufacturing process.

Digital Engineering at SRC

At SRC, our digital engineers are resourceful and adaptive, working with systems engineers and software engineers to coordinate all digital components in our programs. They might be responsible for anything from design, integration, and coding, to probing boards to ensure accuracy, testing, and debugging.

SRC strongly believes that our mission to help keep America safe and strong begins in our own backyard. We are committed to taking an active role in the community and do so by supporting local non-profit organizations with our time, treasure and talent. SRC focuses our philanthropic efforts in STEM education, the military, and the United Way.

STEM support

Originally founded as a research and development arm of Syracuse University, SRC is chartered as a not-for-profit organization. Our commitment to education, particularly in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields, extends beyond our core business. We believe that STEM education is vital to the future of our company, community, and country; and are proud to support a number of initiatives to build a strong pipeline of American students capable of tackling our nation’s future challenges. Learn more.

Military Support

From our mission, to our products, to our philanthropic efforts, SRC supports our nation’s military. We are thankful for all who sacrifice to help keep our homeland secure. SRC recognizes that we have a responsibility to the men and women who have served our country. This is why military and veteran related causes are one of SRC’s philanthropic focus areas.

We proudly partner with the organizations below. Click on their logos to learn more about how you can join SRC in supporting these worthy veteran and military causes. Together, we can make a difference. Learn more.

United Way Support

We are proud to partner with United Way chapters across the country to strengthen the communities where we live, work and play. By assessing the areas of greatest need within our neighborhoods and applying fundraising dollars toward specific programs that best address these needs, the United Way focuses the efforts of many local philanthropic initiatives toward a common goal of improving the overall health and stability of our communities. Because of this, we’re confident that our corporate and employee donations to the United Way are being maximized, since each funded program has undergone a rigorous vetting process which ensures contributions are used in ways that can demonstrate a measurable impact on the targeted areas of the community. Learn more.

Our ability to be a successful, competitive company relies on us having a diverse workforce and creating a welcoming environment that respects a variety of viewpoints. Diversity goes beyond gender and race. We all have different educational and work experiences. We come from different geographic locations and socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. Leveraging these differences helps foster innovation and creativity. SRC is committed to an inclusive workplace where each person feels welcomed, accepted as a member of the organization, and that their contributions are valued.

I applied online. I interviewed at SRC.

I applied online and got a response back a few months later for a phone interview for the next day. Spoke with a senior software engineer about my resume and some light hearted banter.
