They are the foundation of everything we do. Our highly skilled workforce handles more than 14 million marine TEUs annually.
We provide our employees with proprietary training to maximize productivity across our operations. We encourage hiring exceptional talent from within, so our managers have the experience to understand your specific needs and respond with creative solutions – ensuring shorter turn times, safe cargo handling, and exceptional service.
We believe investing in our people pays high dividends for our customers.
With marine terminal and rail yard operations in more than 250 strategic locations around the world, SSA Marine is unmatched in skill, experience and productivity. Because we believe in making intentional investments in our people, places and practices that optimize customer service and efficiency at every handling point.
It begins with our greatest assets: our employees. We provide proprietary training that raises job proficiency and fosters creative thinking. In turn, customers reap the benefits of a tenured, highly productive workforce that delivers shorter turn times, responsive service, and the confidence that cargo is being handled with the greatest care and efficiency.
We continually strive to improve and expand our operations – developing new marine, rail and ancillary services, as well as advancing technical innovations to streamline vessel throughput and reduce time in port.
By expanding our reach and capacity, modernizing our processes, and developing our employees, we drive prosperity for our customers around the world.

Advice to Management
Keep doing what you're doing
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at SSA Marine (West Seattle, WA) in September 2015.
I applied through a recruiter and got interviewed within a week. There were two accounting managers interviewing me 1:1, and each lasted 30 mins. In between the two interviews, I was also asked to answer some basic accounting questions in a printed worksheet, relatively simple and basic. The accounting managers were nice and the interview questions were mostly typical and behavioral. I stopped before interviewing with their senior accounting manager because they cannot offer work visa sponsorship.
