Whether you’ve been at the firm for years or only a few weeks, everyone is encouraged to provide ideas on how we can improve and make our firm great.  We have a Suggestion Box, Committees led by team members at all levels of the firm, and semi-annual meetings with our top Partner to ensure that your voice is always heard.

Work/Life Integration
We believe in working smart and being efficient, so that our team members enjoy a full life both inside and outside of the office.  To encourage work/life integration, we offer a generous PTO and firm holiday schedule and a culture that trusts our professionals to get their jobs done. In addition to internal team events, we have semi-annual events for our team members’ families. 

Relationships Matter
“Relationships matter” is one of our core values.  We believe in celebrations, whether it is for a professional achievement such as passing an exam or a personal milestone such as a birthday, wedding shower, or baby shower, we believe that celebrations are great opportunities for team bonding.  We also have company events such as family picnics, parties, bowling, and annual trips to the state fair and our lake house to make sure we are taking time invest in the STRAIT team. 

Office Environment
Our office is modern and open to encourage collaboration.  We have sit/stand desks, a relaxation and meditation room, TVs and games. In addition to the standard refreshments like coffee and tea, our kitchen is stocked with snacks such as oatmeal, trail mix, nuts and popcorn.  Just as our firm’s culture feels different, so does our office.  Our team members are our greatest stakeholders and it shows.

We understand that early in your career, your focus is often on technical training, but as you advance and assume leadership responsibilities, your needs change.  Therefore, our leaders participate in advanced leadership courses through organizations like Stagen.

Conscious Capitalism

More than just capitalism, our firm exists to be a force of good for all of our stakeholders including team members, their families, our clients, and our community. We participate in the Dallas chapter of Conscious Capitalism, provide firm-sponsored opportunities to volunteer and give back during work hours, and extra PTO for you to spend time giving back to the organizations you are most passionate about.

Volunteer Events

STRAIT has partnered with The Birthday Party Project, by carrying out a birthday bash for homeless children in the DFW area. This project hosts monthly birthday celebrations at homeless and transitional living facilities, with the goal of bringing glee and hope to these children. This party was special for the children, as we got to care for and show them how much they matter!

STRAIT has also had the opportunity to volunteer with Feed My Starving Children. This organization is a nonprofit which dedicates its time and resources to provide children with necessary nutrients. As a team, STRAIT volunteered to hand-pack meals that were able to feed children around the world. Our time spent volunteering brought us immense joy, knowing that the food was bringing growth and development to children in need.

Junior Achievement of Dallas strives to inspire and prepare children and teenagers to prosper in a global economy. At STRAIT, we understand the significance of helping develop young people into successful adults. We have volunteered with Junior Achievement of Dallas to help these students make gains towards accomplishing their life goals.
