I worked at Safehold Special Risk full-time (More than 3 years)
Plenty of flexibility in the role. Good paid time off. Wells Fargo has a good corporate culture (Safehold is a Wells Fargo entity). Growing company.
Low pay, had one instance where the president of Safehold didn't know that I or my position existed (which is concerning as Safehold isn't a huge organization), lack of communication between managers and staff and at times, and communication of essential business related items would be severely delayed between management and field staff. Higher Staff turnover will continue unless certain areas are improved.
Advice to Management
As an MGA, the margins of profitability is smaller than that of a traditional insurance carrier. As such, increasing efficiencies at all levels of the organization is key to increasing Profitability.
Need to focus on enhancing and building up the business segments where Safehold has a competitive advantage, and divesting from areas where they struggle to compete.
