Sage – Why Work For Us?

We energize the success of businesses and communities around the world through the imagination of our people and smart technology.

Like many of the businesses we serve, Sage began as an entrepreneur’s dream. That was 35 years ago, and the values we established then continue to guide us today. In a world where only the voices of the biggest are heard, we will always fight to hear and amplify the voices of business builders everywhere. Today over 13000 colleagues now support millions of business builders across 23 countries as they power the global economy.

It is these business builders who are the drivers of prosperity and it’s our privilege and honour to serve them. We take real pride from how many of our customers have flourished and, that our products have grown with them as they moved from start-up to successful, international businesses.

Our mission is to champion small and medium business, and the business builders that grow them. Sage is the world market leader for integrated accounting, payroll, and payments systems, supporting the ambitions of business builders worldwide.

We serve business builders. We care about their passion. We celebrate the people we serve. We recognize and honor their spirit, sacrifice, dedication, and the difference they make worldwide.
We care about their business. We create products and services that help them manage their businesses—from money to people. We invest our time and talent in each and every business we serve. We care about their values. Doing well by doing good matters most to business builders.
They value conscious capitalism and experience personal fulfilment only when their impact is felt inside

Our business builders are the visionaries who fuel the world economy—by providing them a new generation of software to manage everything from money to people. We’re reimagining business for our thriving community of accountants, partners, developers, and entrepreneurs. Our millions of customers will always be the heart of why we’re here. We support them in their ambitions by providing best in industry integrated cloud ecosystem accounting, payroll, HCM, and payments business solutions.

We use smart technology to make our customers’ lives easier, giving them more time to focus on creating value for their customers. The Sage ecosystem will be the indispensable go-to source for advice. We’ll surpass our customers’ expectations with solutions to allow them to work faster, smarter, and more profitably enabling invisible admin.

We asked Sage colleagues "Why do you love Sage?" and to new starters, "Why did you join Sage?"  We then took all their resposnes and formed this word cloud.  This is what it's like to work here.

Our colleagues feel empowered.  They love the fact it's friendly here at Sage and our work has meaning.  We are inspired by our colleagues and leaders and we are creative.  It's fantastic we feel there's a great work-life balance and career progression is reality.

Nicole Hardin, one of our new colleagues said this about joining Sage, "As a new member of the team I am inspired daily at how everyone lives the company values in everything they do. I feel energized every morning knowing we are the champions of entrepreneurs around the world". Follow Nicole on Twiiter @nichardin

    Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took a week. I interviewed at Sage (Lawrenceville, GA).

    Interview

Recruiter contacted me for a screening. Went to their location and they were having a massive hiring event after a massive layoff. (The reviews do not lie). There were over ten candidates there that say. Everyone was handed over to a "Hiring Manager" like a number being called on the deli department of a grocery store.
Office is very pretty, but crowded, no one seemed to be having a good time or smiles anywhere. Very off putting.
