I have been working at Sage Intacct full-time (Less than a year)
Where to begin? Top of the list would have to be the tone that leadership has set. This is very much a no ego environment. People treat each other fairly and with respect. My co-workers are smart dedicated people that welcome input and feedback. I have the pleasure of collaborating across many teams, which has allowed me to share my experience and learn. I truly enjoy coming to work everyday. Work/Life balance is exactly what I was hoping for as a parent of small children. My manager is very supportive and encourages me to expand my skills into new areas.
Finding flaws or areas for improvement at Sage Intacct is not easy. If I think of any I will update my review.
Advice to Management
Keep doing exactly what you are doing. You've landed on a recipe for success and you are executing flawlessly.
The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Sage Intacct (San Jose, CA) in December 2014.
Multiple phone calls with cheerleader types. In person a few managers seemed skilled. One very arrogant. Another in over their head. Said the words but didn't make sense. I felt embarrassed. They talked about some big holes in the app. No plan to address them in next two years if ever. The answer was you need to find the right company and sell around them.
No one could say what it takes to get the job done. I don't think anyone I talked to had done it. Not able to tell me how they ramp new sales guys up. They have a loose plan of lots of fast hiring and seeing who sinks or swims. Offices were very bright green, and new. They'll probably go through their 80 mil funding pretty quick.
