I worked at Saint Johns River Water Management District-SA as an intern (Less than a year)
The work SJRWMD does in Water Supply Planning is really interesting, although complex and operates on a very large scale. If you have any desire to work in the field, especially as is relates to GIS and water issues, this is a great place to gain some experience and see how it's done. The managers and other employees are very helpful and friendly.
This is a big organization, so if you are looking for a nimble NGO or to work on a variety of different projects, this probably isn't for you.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work.
I applied online. I interviewed at Saint Johns River Water Management District-SA.
I applied in July and was interviewed in October. I was interviewed by phone by a committee consisting of my future boss, an administrative representative, and several future co-workers. The interview lasted less than an hour and I was made an offer the following day. The interview focused on my technical skills and how I might respond in various situations. They asked about my willingness to accept additional responsibilities outside my immediate area of expertise.
