I worked at Saks full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company has made lots of transformations along the way. Removing what does not work and adapting what works. Things like ability to work remotely, relaxing the dress code and very generous.

They have place processes and tools that enables engineers to work more nimble and less bureaucracy fashion.

    Cons

Trust issues. Job Instability. Inability to retain amazing talent.

    Advice to Management

Build a stronger full time team and use consultants to augment teams not to work on their own projects.

    Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Saks (New York, NY).

    Interview

It was extremely inefficient and unprofessional. The HR lady failed in every sense with updating me on the candidacy and the follow up call and ignoring all my emails for two months when she was the first to say, "I will let you know."
