I have been working at Sandhill Cove full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Lot of training, some of the benefits are good for full time employees.

    Cons

This company states this is one of the best places to work in Martin county.
Senior management is unfriendly and only care about profit. Salaries are average. Most of the hires are part time and per-diem employees to avoid paying for benefits. 401K sucks, they just match 2% to the regular employees.
Their 401K match for senior management is 5% and in addition 5% bonus, if employees don't have accident or at least if they don't open a claim for worker's comp.

    Application

I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sandhill Cove (Palm City, FL) in April 2009.

    Interview

I called the human resource department, and was told to come in and fill out an application that their company was looking for Lpn's at this time. I went in and filled out the application and attached my resume to it. The next day was called in for an interview which took approximately 3 hours speaking with 2 seperate people at that time I was told what the pay was, and that they would love to have me as an employee of their company. I then had 3 days of orientation which consisted of alot of paperwork and walking around to the different departments.

    Interview Questions

    • Why do you think that you would be an asset to our company?   1 Answer
    • How would you handle a very upset family member?   1 Answer

    Negotiation

No negotiation at all , the Director of Nurses at the time stated 18.25 is all I am able to offer you. It is the standard pay that we offer for your years experience.
