I have been working at Sanger Institute full-time (More than 3 years)
The sense of-of community on campus is brilliant, everyone pitches in to get the job done. The campus is fabulous, and there are great opportunities to network and socialise.
Nothing negative to say. With focus mainly on scientific customers, the hardest part of the job is keeping up with the pace but that's the fun and challenge of working here. The good news is, Sanger is prepared to invest at every turn in staff development.
Advice to Management
Just keep listening, its great here.
I applied online. The process took a week. I interviewed at Sanger Institute (New York, NY) in November 2016.
I received the invitation for a Skype interview a week after the application deadline. The group leader and the principal bioinformatician conducted the interview. They were really nice, and we had an enjoyable talk. They mainly described the projects and Sanger Institute, and asked questions on my background and project-related skills.
