Sava Senior Care – Why Work For Us?

The SavaSeniorCare affiliated facilities believe that successful careers are built upon RESPECT, and positive resident and patient experiences begin with positive employee experiences.

RESPECT is not just something we say, we strive to ingrain it in everything we do from the way we care for our residents and their home to the special programs we have in place for our employees.

We realize our employees chose a career where taking care of others is their main goal. We honor this compassion by providing our employees with a collaborative culture that encourages, listens and supports their efforts and ideas.

We believe that creating an environment where everyone knows his or her value and importance is key. And we strive everyday to stand by this motto, whether it's providing our employees with an in-depth orientation or access to our ongoing leadership training.

What matters the most, is how each of our 23,000 employees measures their success. Whether it's a thank you from a resident, a smile from a family member or a pat on the back from a fellow employee, your overall employee experience is important to us.

Consider joining us in one of the many fulfilling careers we offer.

Our Culture

When it comes to career satisfaction, creating a positive environment that is focused on coaching and developing employees is our mission.

Our culture is built on RESPECT and we strive to foster a culture where our employees, residents and patients feel appreciated and valued.

We aim to create a place where our employees are supported and encouraged to take an active role in our day-to-day operations—and feel empowered to provide the best care possible.

As such, we've worked diligently to put a number of programs and initiatives in place to show our employees how much we appreciate them—and how important their success is to us.

All of our affiliated facilities are built upon and operate via the Respect Program, which focuses on seven employee initiatives. Our goal is to provide a work environment where employees not only add value but are appreciated as well.

Launched in 2006, Blue Ribbon is a comprehensive employee rewards program created to identify and reward best practices through an internal competition among affiliated facilities.

The program motivates affiliated facilities to distinguish themselves in areas of Clinical Care, Respectful Culture, a Clean and Safe Environment, Customer Service and Efficient Business Practices.

Blue Ribbon reviewers spend the day conducting their evaluations during unannounced visits. Winning Blue Ribbon affiliated facilities receive a monetary award that is equally distributed to all employees.

The Storms of Life Foundation offers financial assistance to our staff during difficult times. The Foundation provides assistance with issues ranging from serious medical conditions to loss from natural disasters to death in the immediate family. The Foundation allows eligible employees who have completed 90 days of employment with invaluable financial assistance when they need it most.

The Foundation is fully supported by our employees through regular payroll deductions or by a one-time contribution. All donations are tax deductible, and Foundation supporters can rest assured that contributions and any employee grants remain fully confidential. A committee of representatives from various geographic locations representing diverse backgrounds reviews all applications for Foundation assistance on a monthly basis.

The TLC program is an important part of our culture – it represents the commitment we provide to our residents and patients. The management team in each affiliated facility aims to meet with every new resident in the first 48 hours of their stay, and from there, the resident is assigned an Ambassador who visits with them Monday through Friday with an aim toward meetings individual needs. It's that level of RESPECT we strive to provide the residents and patients that in turn helps foster an environment of RESPECT among our employees.

Working at a SavaSeniorCare affiliated facility means that you'll work in a supportive and respectful environment. RESPECT is the focus of what we do and what we say. In fact, we've even created a program based on this principle. We work diligently every day to cultivate an environment filled with supportive staff and co-workers, where collaborative care is key.

As a member of the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators (AANAC) and other nationally respected healthcare affiliated associations, we aim to provide our nurses and care professionals with up-to-date training tools to help achieve the mission of providing the best care to the residents and patients we serve.

Our Ambassador Program is a wonderful opportunity for our nurses (and other employees) to provide care with a compassionate touch, while showing their commitment to providing quality care. This program aims to effectively build patient/caregiver bonds and also aims to brighten the lives of our patients and residents.

In addition to creating an environment where you're valued and respected, we also strive to provide forums that allow your voice to be heard and help you to make a real difference in the lives of the residents we serve. From Employee Surveys to our Idea Box, there is no shortage of ways for you to make your voice heard or to accomplish your personal career goals.

While we aim to go above and beyond to provide excellent care to others, we also know how to take care of —and reward— our own.
