I worked at Schematic (More than 3 years)
The smartest people. The sexiest clients. Awesome Projects. I took my time there for granted but they were good peeps.
No training or guidance, it's sink or swim, so you better hope you float. Expectations were always growing and compensation didn't follow until ages later, if at all, with a 10% max annual raise. I once had to unexpectedly cover a client/team dinner that was about equal my monthly take-home income. I was eventually reimbursed.
Advice to Management
When/if job responsibilities change, the compensation must also change, and it's unacceptable to have project lead's making less than 10% of what you make from their billable hours.
The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Schematic (New York, NY) in October 2008.
I had a phone screen, followed by an onsite interview. It was very straight forward.
