I have been working at Schiff Hardin full-time (More than 3 years)
The firm provides plenty of opportunities for young attorneys, and the work-life balance is as good as it gets fired a large firm.
Hours can be unpredictable at times, but that's how it goes for lawyers. Probably nothing they could do about that. It can also be a little bureaucratic at times.
Advice to Management
Keep up the good work.
Includes: one hour writing exam, one hour panel interview, lunch, and 6 on-on-one interviews. The panel interview was the worst--eight interviewers take turns drilling you on a six-page long list of behavioral questions. By far, this was the longest (and worst) interview I encountered. It was also unnecessarily long--many of the one-on-one interviewers did not ask any questions.
