I worked at SciMetrika full-time (More than 3 years)
Autonomy, flexibility, opportunity to take on new job responsibilities, tuition assistance, gift cards for good performance, CEO has open door policy
Poor communication from the top down. No verbal acknowledgement of the financial status of the company or accountability taken for bad business decisions and egregious mistakes made by management that lead to a loss of project work and employee morale. Instead, the company's obviously fragile financial position is chalked up to be merely a side effect of government cutbacks and just simply "the nature of the business". This place can barely keep its lights on and this is all just par for the course? Sounds like denial coupled with desperate attempts at image preservation.
Advice to Management
Time to forget about image and start being honest about mistakes made on every level or you'll be here again next year -- same time, same place. Elevate and empower your loyal hardworking employees, and promote from within. Try to remember what it was that made SciMetrika a really great place to work at one time, and get back to that. Best of luck.
I applied through other source. The process took 3+ months. I interviewed at SciMetrika in February 2015.
Initially contacted by HR person who saw my Linked In profile. Delay of months to actually be contacted and have interview scheduled. Interviewed by 3 people. After hire, interviewed with manager and supervisor.
