I have been working at Scomi Group (More than a year)
Travel 50% of the time. Educated Business Unit sales engineers, service engineers and customers about Scomi equipment. Head office located in Malaysia with Business Units in Thailand, Russia, Australia, UAE, Saudi, Oman, Africa, China, Indonesia and many more countries.
New equipment supplied to Business Units with a group of inexperienced sales, service and middle management employees, much like a start up company that needed to hit the ground running - good for me but not so good for the company in the short run. Oil & Gas industry and company lay off required.
Advice to Management
Mistake to sell USA, Mexico and Brazil Business Units. It will be hard and lengthly effort to re-enter these markets when 5 year non-compete clause is completed.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Scomi Group (Houston, TX) in August 2015.
Phone interview with HR. He explained the position and 4Refuel expectations and began qualifying me by probing and registering my answers to his questions.
Interview was for 45 minutes at 9:00 AM and he called back at 3:00 PM to set up a face to face interview with the VP of Sales on the next Monday.
This will be a 4 week ongoing process with decision made at end of September 2015.
