I have been working at Scripps Health full-time (More than a year)
Steady wage increases, constant support from management- they fight for their employees and listen to the feedback given, really great co-workers who support each other and work together, A LOT of room for growth (they not only encourage it, but will assist you in achieving it), excellent benefits that are not too pricey, education benefits (tuition reimbursement, scholarships), career coaching and "other-side-of-the-fence program" to try other areas of work, phenomenal resources for employees who need assistance in health, family, financial, or legal concerns, psychologists to assist with burn-out, stress, or life in general, assistance with transportation and van-pool costs, free gym on-site at many locations, amazing discounts throughout the community on things like shopping, dining, movies, theater etc... resources to assist in family care like child care, adult care, in-home assessments, honestly the list goes on and on. Scripps cares about their employees and their community, and that means something.
It is a very large organization and it can create a disconnect between departments and locations in regards to communication and how workflows affect one another.
The high performance standards could be stressful for some if they're looking for a place they can float through the work day, but for others who like to be pushed or who enjoy a challenge it could be a pro.
I applied in-person. I interviewed at Scripps Health (San Diego, CA).
1:1 and peer interview. Involve the whole team in the success of the potential employee; they become invested in success of the new hire. Excellent hiring process for both parties involved. Scripps is a great company to work for.
