Really a great environment with lots of interaction with others. Most advancement is from the inside first.
Not many, mostly with the management. Most of the time the management hires friends and friends of friends. This way they help each other get the hiring bonuses.
The bad part is that you end up with entire critical areas and projects being controlled by people that have no idea what they are doing.
At one point the company hired a manager who was a friend of that departments director. The employees were never told the position was open and suddenly there was a new guy who understood nothing about what we did trying to tell us what to do! This set the entire project back by 3 months.
Advice to Management
Nothing they would listen to.
