I have been working at Seattle Symphony full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Incredible award-winning orchestra. The organization is outstanding in its field, doing great things for the community. Great image. Slick brand and PR. Great benefits. The people here really love the symphony.

    Cons

Once you agree to your salary upon entry, it's nearly impossible to get a raise. Turnover is incredibly high as a result.

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Seattle Symphony (Seattle, WA) in August 2018.

    Interview

30 minute call followed by a 90 minute in person. Had great conversations about the position, taken on a tour to include the offices and all of the space. Introduced to some people around the office and on the team. Was told they’d be in touch by Thursday as someone on the team that I should meet was on vacation. Thursday came and went- I reached out on Tuesday. Received a response on Wednesday that HR was sick. I was told to ‘hang in there.’ (I had been told previously that HR was the last round so I was excited to know it was important to meet them, too.) Then crickets. Reached out again to follow up as they were my top choice and another offer was expected. Still nothing. Totally ghosted me. What company does that?! Atleast have the decency to tell someone no.
