I have been working at See's Candies part-time (More than a year)
Above minimum wage, simple clean work, a happy business.
Abusive customers are the worst part of this job. They don't come in very often, but if you are the kind of person who has a hard time tolerating this type of behavior, look for a job elsewhere.
Advice to Management
When there are complaints listen to both side of the story. Judge your employees by their actions, not by what someone says.
I applied online. I interviewed at See's Candies.
Phone interviews with HR, hiring manager and two team members. Was set to follow with in person interviews. Recruiter had a great sense of urgency around scheduling my first four interviews and getting all my paperwork in order and then went radio silent for four weeks, making it a lot of hurry up and wait. I had to constantly reach out for next steps, which was frustrating and it became clear that they were stringing me along. I'd understand if I had only had a phone screening, but having spent a good amount of time with the company, and effort to accommodate last minute interviews, I found this to be rude and disrespectful.
