Fairly straight forward. Very, very easy to schedule an interview. It's all done on calendly which makes life so easy. In terms of the process itself. It was very simple and easy.
I had a very good impression of the company until I got to stage 2. I found the interviewer very cold and standoffish, and confrontational.
Even when I asked basic questions about the company, I was met with cold and dismissive undertones. It was to the point where I asked my 3rd question that I told the interviewer that I am no longer interested in the position. Such a shame, I really bought into the culture of the business but how people carry themselves in interviews is so important. Retreats are a major part of our culture at Sendwave. Each quarter, the Sendwave team gathers for a five-day offsite retreat. Recently, we?ve been to Miami Beach (Florida) and Estes Park (Colorado), Vancouver, BC (Canada) and Lisbon (Portugal). Due to the global pandemic, our in-person retreat plans came to a screeching halt. We decided to plan a virtual team retreat as a way to bond with our colleagues, strategize for the new quarter and maintain our retreat culture in these uncertain times.
Our second remote team retreat took place last week. It started with an all-hands session where we discussed our Q2 retrospective, Q3 KPIs and welcomed 12 new Sendwavers. Other activities included brainstorming sessions, escape room games, mixology and happy hour sessions. We rounded up the retreat with a company day off.
