We recently received the results of our first third-party Client Satisfaction Survey by Inavero. The survey resulted in us receiving a Net Promoter Score (the industry standard for evaluating overall client loyalty to a brand) of 9.2, compared to the accounting industry average of 7.7. Of the survey responses we received, only 4% of clients rated us less than a 6, compared to the industry average of 25%. The overwhelmingly positive feedback of this survey resulted in SSF earning a Best of Accounting award by Inavero.

The Bay Area News Group, which owns the San Jose Mercury News, Oakland Tribune, Contra Costa Times and other media properties, ranked 100 companies as top places to work in the Bay Area. SSF ranked 31st out of 50 companies named in the small company category. The Bay Area Top Workplaces award is based on an anonymous independent survey conducted by Workplace Dynamics. Employees were asked to rate their satisfaction with several aspects of working at SSF, including community involvement, health and wellness, leadership, and hiring and expansion. Also taken into consideration are employee insights, opinions and feelings of the long term health of the company, managers, work/life balance, and opportunities for career development. Company rankings were based on a composite score calculated on the basis of employee responses.

People are treated really well and with respect. Good compensation and benefits, good learning tracks, management is fair and getting better.
Sometimes management is slow to let poor performing individuals go. Hanging on to poor performers makes it hard for those who work with them. It's hard to terminate people from the firm but sometimes it's better for them and others who remain.

Keep doing what you're doing.
I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Sensiba San Filippo (San Jose, CA) in October 2016.
Applied on campus center and applied online.
Got an interview on-site at their downtown office.
Partner walks you to your interview room where you will be interviewed by a Manager.
Bet it was his first interview session. All questions were generic.
Very unwelcoming. Did not even escort me back to the lobby. Their office is a maze of glass walls.
Was called for a second round interview. No thanks.
Not a great way to attract talent.
