The company was very good at performing the pivot maneuver, which was good for the survival of the business.
... but not so good if you liked what the company was working on before the pivot, or if you were let go due to the restructuring.
Advice to Management
Respect your engineers. That includes regular pay-raise evaluations. Don't make your engineers go get another job offer in order to get a raise from you.
