Technical Account Manager

Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

  1. Software QA Engineer Interview

    I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at ServiceMax (Bangalore)


    2 technical round
    1 managerial round
    1 HR round

    I cleared first round of technical round.
    After that my second technician round of interview with Lakshmisha SN.
    1.this interviewer was asking for puzzles not sure if this is a part of the general interview.
    This puzzle is nowhere related to testing ( Puzzle on 8 marble)
    2. I was asked if I would be putting paper right away and will be buying my own notice period, which I found Lil strange as non of the interviews in my 4 yrs exp I have seen such questions in the technical round.
    3. Though it was difficult to understand what the interviewer was asking or trying to communicate, there were instances where he was contradicted his own questions.
    4. His concept on testing was not clear.
    He was not able to differentiate between defect and bug.

    Puzzles Background verification Defect which is ideally a bug according to interviewer.
