      I applied online. I interviewed at ServiceTrade (Raleigh, NC) in Mar 2023

      Interview

      The interview began with a phone screening. It went well and I was given glowing feedback and told I would move forward in the process. The next step was to meet with an SE currently on staff... I followed up with a thank you email. A week later I followed up again to be told that there were already 2 candidates that were in the interview process before me and they were moving ahead. Two questions: 1. Why did you interview me in the first place when there were already qualified candidates? 2. Why did it take a week and two follow-ups to find this out? I completely understand having multiple viable candidates for a position but it would be courteous and professional to be transparent/communicate what's going on with candidates. Otherwise... it's a waste of time for the applicants.
