For the past 30 years, we've been a company with strong beliefs about the rights of people and planet. We're a company that believes you have a right to know that the products you buy are safe for you, your family, and our environment. We believe that a company's values are as important as the products it makes. We know that plant-based products can provide exceptional efficacy, and that products designed from renewable plant-based ingredients are better for the planet than products made from petroluem. We believe that waste, is well... a waste. It's why we use recycled materials to design our packaging, and why we design our packing to be recycled. We have a lot of beliefs, but the biggest one is that we have a responsibility to this generation and the next seven. What do you believe? One of the best ways we can all do that is by protecting and caring for the environment and natural resources all around us. Seventh Generation has put this belief into action with our #ComeClean campaign that rallied around passing the California Cleaning Product Right to Know Act (SB 258), the federal Cleaning Product Right to Know Act (H.R.2728), and the federal Menstrual Products Right to Know Act of 2017 (H.R.2416) which all center on ingredient disclosure right on the label of cleaning, homecare, and femcare products that we welcome into our homes each day.
Overall, our Corporate Consciousness Reports deliver sustainability performance reviews and examine the progress we’ve made toward our ambitious 2020 Roadmap goals, working to Nurture Nature, Enhance Health, Transform Commerce, and Build Community. We're committed to lowering out impact and encourage employees to bring lunch from home to heat up in our full kitchen area, or go out to one of the many local eateries around Burlington as long as they compost and recycle their waste appropriately. We encourage employees to make use of the provided health club membership on their lunch breaks or to simply go for a walk at a point throughout the day, even if that means a quick game of corn hole.

Our employees dedicate at least 1% of their time each year to volunteering, ranging from building cabins at Camp Takumta to updating community gardens in the Bronx to providing fruits and vegetables to lower income families. One of the most impactful partnerships is with the Sustainability Academy in Burlington, VT, to help educate the next generation of sustainability leaders.
Our individual employees are only the start of our work in the community, as the Seventh Generation Foundation provides support to U.S.-based organizations working to bring about positive change and sustainable solutions. The foundation's mission is to care today for seven generation’s of tomorrows by stewarding social and environmental progress in the communities we live, work and do business through education, environmental conservation, research and advocacy, with a focus on enhancing the health of homes and schools.

I applied online. The process took 4+ weeks. I interviewed at Seventh Generation (Burlington, VT) in May 2018.
I applied to Seventh Gen in mid May of 2018. My first phone call interview was with corporate(Unilever) at the end of the month. I then had a phone interview with a hiring manager at Seventh Gen early June with a follow up in-person interview in mid June. The in-person interview was back-to-back half hour interviews with 5 different interviewers in varying positions. I received a phone call four days later notifying me that I was offered the position. The entire process took just over one month, everyone I interviewed with both over the phone and in person was very friendly.
